Andrew and Kitty

Andrew loves the kitties and they tolerate him pretty well. Just wait until he starts walking, though! He gets so excited to see them and often lets out a yell of joy which kind of freaks the cats out. Today he watched Macy playing with toys in the basement and he thought it was so funny. His first word is "kitty" which you can hear him say in the video--it sounds like "kee". I'm working on getting him to say mama next.

Andrew is crawling! He prefers to get around by walking holding onto mom or dad's hands since that's fastest but we are trying to encourage him to crawl his way over and we've been helping him to practice his walking skills as well. He does four or five wobbly steps between mom and dad and has done a few steps between pieces of furniture on his own.

Peek a boo!

Andrew's First Steps!

Andrew decided he wasn't satisfied with just scooting on his butt and recently has been taking a few steps on his own. Check him out as he takes a few of his first steps!

Andrew is not really into crawling but has managed to develop a little scoot of his own with gentle coaxing from mom and dad. He doesn't scoot a lot in the video but you can see his method and he is now pretty good at getting around the kitchen this way. It is a little harder to do on the carpet but he can scoot a little there, too.

9 months old!

Andrew has been growing and changing so much lately! He is really getting to be so big we can't believe it. He loves to walk around holding onto to mom or dad's hands and definitely has his own mind about what he wants to do when. His naps have finally started getting longer! Andrew has always loved our cats and now whenever he sees one he says, "kee!". We are pretty sure that this is a shortened version of kitty. He had his nine month checkup today and is very healthy. He is 19 1/2 pounds and 29 inches. Andrew has been showing more interest in solids and likes feeding himself little pieces of bread, cheese, fruits and veggies.

Andrew at the Park

Andrew and I took advantage of the beautiful weather today to go to the park. Andrew had fun swinging for the first time! (sorry it's sideways).

Andrew was so interested in his shoes. He kept kicking them around on the ground.

Andrew loved swinging! He was smiling and laughing the whole time.

Andrew has been changing and growing so much lately. He has been pulling himself up and cruising around and figuring out how to do a lot more with his toys. He loves to be on the go all the time (either cruising or walking holding on to mom or dad) and is no longer content to sit quietly playing with toys for long. He is not crawling yet and hates being on his tummy. Whenever he wants to tell us something he says, "Guh!". He's been getting up at night again for a bottle but his naps are starting to get longer. Andrew gives us lots of love and smiles!

Andrew loves his Crawl and Cruise Jungle. He's figured out how to play with the elephant and send balls down the ramp. He loves standing up and cruising around his little jungle.
