Halloween and Family Visit

Andrew was a supercute bumblebee for Halloween!

Andrew recently went out to Grandma and Grandpa's house to celebrate Aunt Sue's birthday. Here are some pictures of him with Daddy's side of the family!

Andrew in his Calvin College bib! Andrew usually chooses not to wear a bib at all. Here is a picture of him after a taste of peas. He was not sure about those peas.

Andrew is getting teeth! He's been a little extra fussy but not too bad but has really had a hard time sleeping (and he was not a good sleeper to begin with). I am now getting up with him several times a night and Dave gets up with him in the morning so I can catch up on some sleep.

Starr and John came over last week to take pictures of our family. We can't wait to see how they turned out!

We had the pleasure of having Gabby visit us one morning last week. It was really busy and really fun with two little ones to look after! Gabby thought maybe Andrew would like a sip of her milk.

5 months old!

We are so happy to see how much Andrew has grown and changed in five months! God has blessed us so richly. Here are a couple of pictures of Andrew on our front porch--he loves to be outside! The next picture is Andrew discovering his toes and the last picture is Andrew hanging out with the guys (and Gabby).

Washington DC

Andrew recently had a big trip to Washington DC to meet Uncle Chris and Aunt Allyson! He was so excited to visit his first art gallery, go on his first airplane ride, metro ride and to spend time with Opa and
Oma. There's also a couple of pictures mixed in here of Drew's first (successful) feeding. Also check out the Obama onesie I was tempted to buy.

My Little Man

We have so much fun playing with Andrew! 1. Here he is doing tummy time with Daddy. 2. Look at those eyes! 3. We made our first attempt at solid foods this week with rice cereal. Drew did really well eating the cereal but towards the end got upset and was all done. I think I might have given him too much too fast! We are going to try again next week. 4. Andrew loves playing with his toes. He tries to get them in his mouth but can't make them reach. 5. Andrew loves to bundle up and go for walks!

Andrew's Favorite Activities

Andrew is so clever and adorable! He is getting really good at manipulating objects with his hands and gets bigger and stronger every day. Picture #1. Andrew tried out his Johnny Jump Up for the first time recently. He seems to like bopping around in it but can't quite seem to get the hang of jumping. #2. Andrew usually sits in his Bumbo seat while we eat dinner so I got him a toy to keep him occupied. #3. Andrew practicing tummy time. He will only tolerate being on his tummy for a few minutes so we do a little bit of tummy time several times a day. #4&5. Andrew and Mommy like to play outside together every day.

Four months old!

Its hard to believe Andrew is four months old already! He has changed so much and we love him more every day. I can't seem to figure out how to write captions under the photos without messing up the whole post so I'll just number them so you can know what each photo is about.
1. Andrew loves looking at himself in the mirror! He was on his activity mat by himself one day and when I walked in the room he had rolled over on his side and was staring intently at the mirror. Sometimes we'll stand in front of the mirror in the bathroom and Andrew will smile and talk to his reflection.
2. Andrew has been trying out his exersaucer for a few minutes every day. He likes to reach out for the toys and has started to figure out how to manipulate them
3. Andrew loves being outside! In this picture he is squealing in delight.
4. Another picture of Andrew in his exersaucer.
5. A close up of those beautiful eyes! People always comment on how bright eyed he is. Andrew loves to look around at everything! Sometimes this keeps him from sleeping or nursing. I've asked Dave not to talk to me when I'm nursing because it makes Andrew pop his little head up to look for Daddy. I think he would rather play with Daddy than eat! He is turning into a little Daddy's boy with lots of smiles and squealing when Dave gets home from work.
